#jetsaturdays

hello passion fruits family, this week we got the honor of jumpstarting a new market place at a budding event called #jetsaturdays.

These are our honest thoughts about the event and some of our favorite vendors from the pop up collaboration.

event thoughts

#Jetsaturdays was a very cool event. one of my favorite things about the curation was how true the actual brunch day party was to the advertised branding in the flyer! There were real jet magazines placed throughout the venue showcasing various covers and parted booklets showing the beauty of the week. I really enjoyed how the curators @Markthmogul + @listen2zay took direct inspiration from this monthly section of the nostalgic magazine that highlighted African American women who were feature worthy for various reasons.

here at passion fruits la we love highlighting the ladies making waves,

so Check out the beauties of the week and host from the 3/11 debut event

moving on to what we are most passionate about, the marketplace and vendors

one of the reasons why we create market places in the first place is to expose as many people as we can to small business entrepreneurs who get up every day and fight for financial freedom and agency over their lives.

so every event that we cover we are going to share some of our favorite vendors who are really showing up and showing out at these pop ups!

WHAT I LOVED ABOUT @FAITHINCRYSTALS SET UP WAS THAT AS A CONSUMER I WAS NOT overwhelmed BY THE AMOUNT OF PRODUCT ON THE TABLE, IT WAS immediately VERY CLEAR TO ME WHAT SHE WAS SELLING AND WHAT KIND OF VENDOR SHE WAS WITHOUT NEEDING TO BE TOLD. EVERYTHING WAS CLEANLY AND aesthetically PLACED. SHE ALSO APPEALED TO MY SENSES WITH BURNING INCENSE THAT BROUGHT ME AND MANY OTHER POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS TO HER TABLE FOR AN EXTENDED TIME. WHAT I THINK VENDORS CAN LEARN FROM HER IS SOMETIMES LESS IS MORE. CREATING A SPACE THAT PEOPLE WANT TO BE IN THAT SMELLS GOOD AND FEELS GREAT IS THE KEY TO POTENTIALLY MAKING MORE SALES.

@SHOOTFILMSNOTPEEPS IS THE PRIME EXAMPLE OF A VETERAN VENDOR. NOT ONLY WAS HER SET UP BEAUTIFULLY CURATED SHE ALSO HAS MANY PRODUCTS OF MANY PRICE POINTS AND CREATES AN opportunity TO RECEIVE DONATIONS FROM PEOPLE WHO MAY NOT BE READY OR ABLE TO MAY A PURCHASE RIGHT AWAY. ANOTHER THING I LOVE IS HOW SHE PLACES HER HOODIES IN THE WOODEN CUBBIES. IT GIVES HER OVERALL PRESENTATION A SLEEK LOOK AND FEEL THAT LOOKS PROFESSIONAL. DOUBLING BACK TO THE RANGE IN PRICE POINT ITEMS, IN THE PHOTOS YOU CAN SEE SHE HAS PINS AND STICKERS AVAILABLE. ONE THING TO KEEPIN MIND AS A VENDOR, IS SOMETIMES AN EVENT WILL SIMPLY BE YOUR BRANDS INTRODUCTION TO A NEW POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS. STUDIES SHOW THAT MOST TIMES PEOPLE NEED TO SEE YOUR PRODUCT UP TO 7 TIMES BEFORE CONSIDERING PURCHASING SOMETHING. SO HAVING SMALL ITEMS TO SELL OR GIVE AWAY FOR CHEAP CAN BE A GREAT WAY TO GAIN BRAND recognition AMONST OTHERS AND THE PERSON WITH THE STICKER OR PIN. EACH POP UP IS STANDING ON THE SHOULDERS OF THE LAST AND HAVING THESE THINGS AVAILABLE CAN LEAD TO SALES ON YOUR SITE OR A FOLLOW ON YOUR INSTAGRAM EVEN AFTER YOU HAVE PACKED UP AND WENT HOME.
